1.26.2008
00:18
Looks amazing. My only (whiny/picky) critique is that I sort of wish that “2008″ wasn’t printed. But I understand that the nature of the piece relies on connecting trends to a date.
You should do a version in Japanese. Great work!
1.26.2008
00:21
I love the Trend Map, but I think that there’s too noise to signal. I would just let everybody know when its ready.
1.26.2008
00:39
Fantastic work!Id like to order at poster.
1.26.2008
00:56
I liked V1, I loved V2. V3 is a killer. Now you got me wondering about V4. How far can you go with this.

1.26.2008
05:10
Nicely done. The folks at eBay’s Toys building have an enormous (about 4′ x 8′) copy of last year’s map up in their space. We’re jealous! Not certain that this comment is the right place to do it, but put us down for an order too.
1.26.2008
05:52
I would love a printed copy.
1.26.2008

Have a nice weekend

We will definitely be linking to this. It the most original thing for quite some time. Keep up the good work.
2.1.2008
21:06
In the clickable version, the link to “Studiverzeichnis” should be http://www.studivz.net - you left out the “e” in “net”. Besides that, a wonderful resource!
2.1.2008
21:29
Amazing! Put me down for one too please. I’m in London so if you could work out postage costs to the UK that would be brilliant. How do I print an A3/A4 version in the meantime though?? My desk needs brightening up!

21:46
Put me down for one of those beautiful A0 posters, can’t wait to stick that on my wall.
2.2.2008
22:17
Is the map format suppose to represent connections between the sites, or just to make it look cool? Because I don’t think there’s a lot relating Huffington Post and TorrentSpy…
2.2.2008
22:42
The key says that Opera is on the money line (???) but it’s on the Technology Line on the map (by Adobe).
2.3.2008

12:51
http://livejournal.com really should be in there.
2.3.2008
12:51
@David: The keys are all still totally random. We wait with that until we have the definite setup, because changes with the key are very work intense.
2.3.2008
13:13
Well what do you know, it IS a series of tubes.
2.3.2008
13:28
Hey guys - ingenious stuff. One suggestion - you have wikipedia listed (as wikipedia.com, .org would be preferable) and on the PDF version it’s not listed in the lower index. Unless I’m missing something?
Thanks!
2.3.2008
17:47
I would like a printed copy.

2.5.2008
03:31

2.5.2008
04:39
Is there a way to be notified by email of the disponibility of the A0 poster?
2.5.2008
06:54
How does one go about purchasing a poster….or are they all sold out? Because I definitely want one.
2.5.2008
06:55
@Pierre: To stay in touch and get informed when the poster is ready, sign up for our newsletter. Right now we will have to wait what happens with the Yahoo-Microsoft deal before we print anything.
@Everyone that wants to print the poster: Until it’s done we’d rather not have you print this. I know it’s obnoxious to prevent people from printing, but the key on the bottom is still exemplary and there are too many mistakes on the map.
2.5.2008
10:35
I’d also like to order the A0 poster too!
2.5.2008

Hello,
Great work as usual. I’d like to order the A0 poster as well.
I have to say tho - it’s indeed obnoxious to prevent the printing. This is internet I’ll have the “non-complete” version on my hard drive (and thousands of other ones) anyway… tsk tsk:)

2.20.2008
22:31
On the clickable map, linux (M-9) goes to linux.org, which actually complains that you should be going to their “proper” site http://www.linux.org instead.
Maybe they should just set up a CNAME reference instead??
2.21.2008
08:06
Hi,
the map is such a great job. People really love it in our office. But in our point of view the big B2C E-Commerce retailers are not listed. We (The OTTO Group) for example are behind Amazon the second biggest retailer wordlwide with a 6 billion $ sales volume (only online!). Would be great if we can find this name on the map. For further informations just visit http://www.ottogroup.com.
besides, well done! Alex

I miss one of the most important lines of today: the Mobile Line. Or is that an airline ;), so another map will be needed (with hubs and spokes, etc. ) ?
