"You can only attain purity by piling up effort upon effort" said Yamamoto Tsunetomo in Hagakure.
But usually, when you create a simple to use, user friendly UI, you are only rewarded with a comment like this: "If it's simple to use, it must be darn simple to make. What did it take you so long for ?". UX aware people are leading a crusade here and I'm one lone knight.

I use Flash since 1998 and Flex since 2007. Flash is not the enemy here. It's the lack of concern of people involved in the creation of the UI.

The business people who appreciate a good UI but don't know what's involved in creating it

The designers who only want to enjoy themselves and create unusable UIs

The developers who don't care about the users and only think about code

This is of course, a generalization, since I know some business people, designers and developers who care about users, but they are usually too rare.

In reality, everybody should be involved in creating a good user experience, not just UX experts. In UX, concept is important, design is important, programming is important. Every aspect matters equally.
