SaR
I'm not planning to sell the domain name. I won't sue you if you use that name, but I have plans to launch another service under the product name "Sarx".

However, here's a tip: As a company name it's not very attractive. People can't remember it, it feels kind of scary and it's too close to SARS.

There's a German hard core group under that name, and the name works well for them, but for as company it is kind of a long shot.

We chose it because we thought it's original that "the flesh" (SARX means flesh in Old Greek) has made the Internet (sex as main driver of the initial popularity), and then "the flesh became the word" (a topos from the New Testament, meaning: The Internet as a textbased Information medium, driven by Sex). But we were never able to explain that really. Too intellectual. Too naughty, too true.

Anyway, good luck with your name, whatever it will be...

What is the status of the business name "Sarx" and is it available for me to use (or re-use) for my own business?

I had to laugh finding this article a month into the beginnings of my own company. Thankfully, so far, I've avoided all of the pitfalls - I'll pretend I'm my own star designer, my home is my office, and well, I did already spring for the big-ass monitor...
