Great review of what's happening at your company, and congratulations on many fun projects + books + fame :)

Quick random question: I am extremely unhappy with my current blog hosting (i.e. Google) because of the sporadic Server 502 errors. I am experimenting with Wordpress, but am having a hard time setting it up since I can't quite understand its documentation. I am wondering what platform this blog is hosted on (because this comment form looks like WP to me) and if you can give me some pointers.

Cheers,
SML

Alvin,

Typo-tips are always appreciated from the typomaster. Two things: 1. Online the line height needs to be a little higher (probably because the font doesn't render sharp enough), starting at 1.35 (my rule). 2. The Zebra is pretty annoying in the big headlines, I agree. I might change that...

nice job oliver. omedeto;

last time we spoke, you we're planning on installing speakers that also came with laser beams and tank wheels;

hey maybe it's just my opinion,
but as for the primary type in each paragraph, the leading seems a bit tall; in print at least, an easy cure, even without any brockmannn-ism, you could usually open up the kerning a smidge to match it for the eye, other wise zebra vision can start to happen and someone's forced to spend as much time or more staring at the space inbetween the type, as much as the type;
if both have similarly equal heights, the inbetween white space and the type, then the white space doesn't provide any service or attention giving to the type. they just battle like your deoderant vs. your girlfriend's perfume. (the line height from the baseline to the ascender of the type ... vs the line height of whitespace created by the baseline of the type to the head of the line of type below it (head = type minus ascender)

an old school leading rule is usually multiply the pt size from anywhere between 1.15 - 1.25; but don't quote me on it; i'm not too sure how web equates leading pts.

blah blah blah,
