I love the new look. It’s hard to explain in words, it feels… natural. You left all the bloat out. It’s like saying, “why aren’t we all doing this?”. Kudos.

What a shame. The old design was so simple and a real pleasure to read: one of the few sites where you'd read one article and then ferret around for others and, before you knew it, you'd spend a good hour or so just reading (like a magazine, ironically enough). Now there's too much going on.

Just because blogs are moving to a 'magazine format' doesn't mean that's what you should be doing. Your content doesn't demand it. Are you just following a trend? And I don't buy the smaller font representing an information hierarchy argument: you only need a hierarchy because you've put more disparate information on the page. Besides, why are readers' comments lower down in the hierarchy? Surely that only applies to link lists (such as the NY Times sidebar).

Looks like an example of being unable to resist designing more and more. Simplicity really is difficult to achieve. Long live 100e2r!

I had the map as opening page and from there I could click and navigate on all my most prefered websites. Now I cannot access it anymore. are you going to establish back the page? If not the sw can be download from sowhere?

I like the new digs. Feels good and breathes easily. Still, it feels a bit like Andy Rutledge’s site… Regardless, I prefer it to the previous version.

I just LOVE the fact that this website doesn't look like a website at all... it feels like not being in front of a computer at all, and this is the best result a website can reach, in my opinion.

PS: disabling antialiasing for text under 14px is not quite a good choice IMO!

schoenes design, aber nicht gerade 100% ER ;-) Die kleinen header wie z.B. "about ia" rendern auf Safari/Mac schrecklich und sind so gut wie nicht zu lesen. Aber Du sagtest ja bereits, "it is still buggy and will improve".
